WTA TORONTO BETTING PREVIEW - FRIDAY 11 AUGUST

Image title

We really had no intentions of adding all our three bets for todays WTA Toronto for free. However, circumstances prevail that it’s all three or none, so we decided to go with our more generous side. The fact is our Tennis bets are attracting more and everyday, and when the new site comes we will have the whole thing. Now we go out for dinner, good luck if you are betting these!

KAROLINA PLISKOVA vs CAROLINE WOZNIACKI

Although Caroline Wozniacki leads head to heads 4-2, we believe it would be wrong to consider matches from 2014. Afterall, Caro was at her peak during that period, while her opponent hadn’t really found herself. However, we are of the opinion that 2017 form should hold up, and the fact is Karolina leads this years head to head 2-1.

Pliskova is the world number one, and  she’s improved an enormous amount. In fact, the 25 year old Czech won 39 matches this year, and that includes three tournaments. The way she is spacing out her appearances is clever, and it’s that which is helping her focus and conserve energy. Wins this week against Pavlyuchenkova and Osaka are good enough, and she will want to win this tournament.

To be fair Caro won her two matches even easier than Karolina, but the reality is her opponents under performed. Despite having a cracking year with 45 wins, Wozniacki lost two finals to Pliskova this year!

BET: KAROLINA PLISKOVA

Odds: 1.77

ELINA SVITOLINA vs GARBINE MUGURUZA

Elina Svitolina was half decent when she beat Daria Kasatkina in the first match, and she followed up with a much improved win against Venus Williams in the second. We can only imagine the Ukrainian building on that here, and that’s what makes her a must have against Garbine Muguruza.

We are slowly learning that Muguruza is a big tournament player. By that we mean she saves her best for the big events, so we shouldn’t take her losses at lower graded tournaments  seriously. At least weeks Stanford the only thing Garbine was interested in was appearing on TV in some talk shows. She’s clearly built on that again here, but her target is to be ready for the US open.

We believe the Spaniard isn’t fully there, and with Svitolina improving match for match we can only imagine one winner.

BET: ELINA SVITOLINA

Odds: 2.10

SLOANE STEPHENS vs LUCIE SAFAROVA

Sloane Stephens is well and truly back, and she showed herself to be fully fit when winning two of her three matches over the full distance. And, while she had a more straightforward task against Angie Kerber, their was a feeling that the German girl didn’t try very hard. Nevertheless, at some stage of the week it would only be natural for Sloane to hit the wall, and we believe that will be now against a player who leads her 2-0.

Lucie is definitely returning to her best, and fitness isn’t an issue. The Czech girl sent the in-form Ekaterina Makarova packing, so that can only give even more confidence. Furthermore, her opponents game appears to suit Safarova, and knowing she already beat her twice adds to the positives!

BET: LUCIE SAFAROVA

Odds: 1.75
