ENGLAND EFL FOOTBALL BLOG - TWO PREVIEWS + TIPS

However, we do have a couple of bets to make with ‘’smaller’’ money in the English lower leagues, and here they are!

BURY vs WIGAN - ENGLAND ONE

Two teams at different ends of the table go head to head here, and we can only imagine one winner. To be fair, whilst Bury are bottom of the table they have at least managed 22 points from 19 home matches. And, before the Peterborough game, Ryan Lowe’s team where undefeated in five straight at Gigg Lane. However, with just nine matches remaining the Shakers are now ten points adrift of the safety  zone, and they come into this on the back of losing a so called six pointer in Milton Keynes (2-1).

Wigan are just two points off the top of the table and one point outside of the automatic promotion zone. Furthermore, the Latics have two games in hand of the teams above them. Plus they are nine points clear of fourth place Rotherham, and have a 18 point cushion over the non play-off places.

With regards to team news. Bury won’t have top scorer Jermaine Beckford or Wigan loanee Josh Laurent. Wigan will be without their skipper Sam Morsy (international duty) but have no other missing player issues.

We are betting Wigan to cover -1 Asian h’cap. If this match ends with Wigan winning by exact one the bet is void and stakes returned. For the bet to win Wigan need to win by two or more. The bet loses if they are defeated or draw.

BET: WIGAN -1

Odds: 2.14 Pinnacle

COVENTRY vs GRIMSBY - ENGLAND TWO

Coventry managed two wins and a draw under new manager Mark Robin. Those seven points have taken the Sky Blues back into the play-off places, and they still have a small chance of finishing in the top three. However, to do that the hosts will need to continue winning matches like this, and that’s what we believe will happen today.

As it stands, Grimsby are just one place above the drop zone, albeit they have six points in hand of next team Chesterfield. Their is also an argument to suggest the visitors are a bit better on the road than at home, albeit that’s countered by the fact they lost their last five away games by an aggregate 14-2.

Team news looks balanced, momentum not!

BET: COVENTRY -0.5 (win)

Odds: 1.87 Pinnacle
