Free National Hunt Racing Tips: Ready to Cash In
WORCESTER 4:08 JURANCON 2/1
Over the past fortnight, Kim Bailey sent out 4 winners from his 10-runners. The Andoversford trainer has his string in good form so I won’t doubt the fitness of THE KEMBLE BREWERY. The 5-year-old is an interesting recruit to hurdling, and he’s the one JURANCON needs to beat!
David Pipe’s son of FREE PORT LUX was impressive in winning two of his three NHF races, and he was also a winner of a point-to-point. Jack Tudor’s mount will appreciate the soft ground, and he won first-time up last season!
WORCESTER 4:38 FROMHERETOETERNITY 10/1
Four of the intended runners were taken out of this handicap hurdle, which reduced the field to 10. WELL VICKY fits into the same category, in that he’s won on good ground.
According to her breeding, BOB O RHINO should be able to handle these conditions. However, her only win came on good-firm ground, thus casting doubt. At the head of the betting is the recent winner RYDER’S ROCK. Alistair Ralph’s mare ticks the ‘’soft ground’’ box, but she’s up two pounds and Worcester is different to Newton Abbot!
FROMHERETOETERNITY is a strong stayer who won a point-to-point on soft/heavy ground. Having recently left the yard of Declan Queally, the 7-year-old will be having her first run for in-form trainer Jennie Candlish.
In May, the daughter of DOYAN ran a good 2nd at Wexford, and she should be forgiven her only subsequent run. The selection has been found a good opportunity, and odds of around 15/2 are more than fair!

WETHERBY 2:00 MARTIN PLAGE 10/1
If this were a handicap, BOWLING BUDDY would receive 2 pounds from EBONY WARRIOR. However, a double penalty means Olly Murphy’s 6-year-old is giving 5 pounds to the favourite. With that said. Olly Murphy is using a ten-pound claiming jockey on BOWLING BUDDY, and I couldn’t split the pair!
SERIOUS CHAT won on his debut for Donald McCain, and if anything his Irish bumper form was better. In my opinion, Brian Hughes Mount will need to take a big step forward if he’s going to be competitive today!
At 30K, the owners of A MOMENTS MADNESS didn’t need to break the bank to acquire the son of CONDUIT. While the runner-up in his only point-to-point should be competitive, I prefer the B F Brookhouse trained MARTIN PLAGE. While the selection didn’t do much in bumpers, this wide-margin point-to-point winner will be better at this game. Double-figure odds are another enticement!
WETHERBY 3.00 QUANTOCK HILLS 3/1
If she hadn’t fallen at Market Rasen, OPEC would have won her last race by a wide margin. However, it was a weak hurdle race, and it’s not like the James Owen-trained filly was particularly good on the flat. In that sphere, her handicap mark is a falling 61, so I won’t be getting too excited about the bookmakers off of ‘’even money’’.
BATTLE OF OMDURMAN won on his hurdling debut, and he followed up with a fair 2nd last time out. Nevertheless, his level of form doesn’t compare to QUANTOCK HILLS. If you know anything about French form, his win at Dieppe stands out from the crowd!
WETHERBY 4:00 TINTINTIN 11/4
I was disappointed with the Sue Smith runners yesterday, I won’t be betting on the stables PRAIRE WOLF. ALLMANKIND made a good comeback from a long absence, but my worry with the topweight is the bounce effect! WILLIETHEBUILDER was supported in the early betting exchanges, and he should benefit from a recent wind operation. Nevertheless, he shouldn’t be duelling for favouritism with TINTINTIN.
Fergal O’Brien’s 5 year old is a strong traveller, and Jack Hogan rides him best. The son of TIN HORSE progressed throughout last season, and he gives the impression that he’s got more to give. Two miles around Wetherby on good-soft ground is ideal, and fitness isn’t going to be an issue!
