Montana St enters this contest at 6-10 in conference play but have shown some life lately with a 4-3 record ATS in their last 7. On the other side we have watched this Idaho St team carefully over the past month and we really like their play, especially on the offensive end where they have shot over 50% 5 times in their last 7 games. The Bengals were in a tough situation last game against Eastern Washington (who we backed at -2.5 if you remember) and we have to admit the Bengals even exceeded our expectations losing by just 5. Despite the Bengals' poor away record, the Bobcats are a dismal 2-7 ATS when billed as a favorite. 3.5 points seems at least a point too much!
It won't be a regular season Big Sky title for Eastern Washington this year but they do enter this game in 4th place at a respectable 11-5 in conference play. Southern Utah sits at 5-11 and has occupied its familiar spot in the bottom 3. The Eagles are on a nice run with 4 wins in a row and are coming off a 74-69 win over a resurgent Idaho St team over the weekend. Souther Utah did win at home against a poor Sacramento St team but the Thunderbirds are dreadful on the road and with a porous defense, won't be able to keep up here. Blowout win for the hosts.
This game will take place in Albany, NY for the 1st round of the MAAC Tournament. Fairfield has won their last 4 but their performance has been anything but inspiring as they've failed to cover against Marist, Quinnipiac and Siena and probably should have lost over the weekend to Monmouth before the Hawks choked late. Marist has been a poor team all year but have done reasonably well against the spread, with a 5-4 ATS record over their last 9. The Stags generally do not do well in situations where they are favored and the Red Foxes have covered in both meetings this year, winning once outright. Matija Milin is questionable for the Stags with an illness and his absence the past 3 games has been felt. Red Foxes to keep it within margin.
In a battle of the top 2 teams in Conference USA, Middle Tennessee State hosts Western Kentucky with the Blue Raiders holding a 1 game lead over the Hilltoppers. The Blue Raiders have won 10 in a row and are coming off a dominating 79-54 win over UAB over the weekend. Western Kentucky has won 6 in a row and are coming off a dominating 88-66 win in their showdown with 3rd place Old Dominion. We like both teams this year and while we give the edge to the Blue Raiders, they just may be a little distracted with their upcoming tilt with Marshall on Saturday. In any case, the Hilltoppers are excellent on both ends of the floor and while they are relatively poor defending the perimeter, the Blue Raiders aren't a prolific 3 point shooting team. All things considered, this should be a close game.
Virginia enters this game at 26-2 and the unanimous #1 team in the country. The Cavaliers have already wrapped up the ACC regular season title at 15-1 with 2 games remaining. For Louisville, they have done reasonably well at 9-7 given the shock offseason firing of coach Rick Pitino but are a poor 3-5 in their last 8. This will be a tough environment for the Cavaliers and they will get the Cardinals' best but this Cavaliers team is a class above and just wears teams down with their relentless defense that challenges everything. Visitors by a comfortable margin.
It's been a fantastic season for Old Dominion in Conference USA as they enter this game at 13-3 but it appears the conference title is out of reach with 2 games left and 2 teams ahead of them. The Monarchs' showdown with Western Kentucky over the weekend ended rather tamely as the Hilltoppers dominated from start to finish winning by a score of 88-66. FAU enters this game at 6-10 in conference play but have won 2 of their last 3 and is coming off a crushing 74-54 win over North Texas. The Monarchs have had some time off but it's hard to see them too excited about this game, especially against an Owls team that plays good fundamental basketball. The Owls will look to turn this into a defensive physical game where we think it will be difficult for the hosts to win by margin.
The Nets have found some form since dropping 8 in a row by winning 104-87 over the Bulls on Monday and followed it up with a 129-123 loss to the Cavs that saw the Nets lead late in the 4th quarter. The Kings have had some nice results but are on a 5 game losing streak. Only 1 team is tanking here and it's the Kings as the Nets don't have a 1st round pick in the upcoming draft. The Kings do appear to give good effort on most nights, mostly from their youngsters but this is an important game to lose for lottery purposes. Jahlil Okafor is out for the visitors but the return of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LeVert have really given the team a boost and improved them on both ends of the floor. It's likely the Kings rest a few veterans tonight and their recent form hasn't been too spectacular. Visitors to get the win.

At 47-13, it is the Rockets that enter tonight with the best record in the NBA and have won 13 games in a row. They easily dusted off the resurgent Jazz at Utah on Monday and visit fierce rival Clippers tonight. LA has been a resurgent team as well, currently occupying the 9th spot in the Western Conference, just a half game behind the Nuggets for the last playoff spot. The Clippers have down this despite numerous injuries and various personnel changes via trades and enter tonight having won 4 of their last 5 after going a successful 5-2 on their recent road trip. THe last time these rivals faced off, there was a heated confrontation post game to go along with extremely scrappy play during the game. Nevertheless, the teams are a bit different this time with Blake Griffin no longer with LA and some new faces as well. Tyrone Wallace, Jawun Evans, Avery Bradley and Danilo Gallinari will not suit up tonight for the hosts while Ryan Anderson is out for the visitors. As much as the Rockets are seeking revenge, the situation just doesn't seem to present itself for us as the Rockets are heavily favored even at LA and perhaps they are more concerned with just getting through the game unscathed. The Clippers are also back from a long road trip and just played at elevation so we expect maybe a bit of a slow start for them. On that note, the Rockets played at elevation themselves on Monday as they are coming from Utah. All things considered, this is a few points too many!
The Wizards picked up a nice win against a tough Milwaukee Bucks team last night as they jumped out to an early lead and were able to hang on 107-104. This marked their 5th win in their last 6 games and 10th in their last 13 since John Wall went down with an injury. The Warriors have won 6 of their last 7 and are coming off a 125-111 win over the tanking Knicks on Monday. This is a tough spot for the Wizards but they are one of the better defensive teams and very adept at defending the 3 which the Warriors are heavily reliant on. Hosts to keep it within single digits.
Two of the worst teams meet tonight as the 18-41 Memphis Grizzlies host the 18-44 Phoenix Suns. Both teams enter tonight with identical 10 game losing streaks with the Suns just 1 win in their last 16 and the Grizzlies 1 win in their last 13. It's obviously frustrating for anyone in this situation but even more so for veteran Marc Gasol who's used to winning and expressed his displeasure vocally today. Wayne Selden, Tyreke Evans, Chandler Parsons and Deyonta Davis have all been ruled out for today leaving the Grizzlies in the familiar spot of being shorthanded. The Suns will be without Tyson Chandler, Tyler Ulis with TJ Warren questionable. There is no denying that both teams are tanking but we expect full effort from the hosts after Gasol's comments and for Gasol to lead the way as Evans is sidelined. The Suns will have to rely on Alex Len to do most of the defending which we believe he is not equipped to do. Don't expect much of a homecourt advantage as some seats were going for as low as $2 but still we believe the hosts get it done.
The Hornets have shown new life post All-Star break as they won their 5th consecutive game yesterday, a 118-103 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Celtics have won their 3 games in the 2nd half of the season and are coming off a 109-98 win over the Grizzlies on Monday. Dwight Howard played through a rib issue yesterday and is considered probable for tonight while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Cody Zeller are questionable. Daniel Theis is the only absence for the hosts aside from of course, Gordon Hayward. This is a matchup that the Hornets traditionally do well in and their play has been spectacular lately, especially from their bench which had been a complete no show all year. Howard might be hampered by an injury but he is still a force inside and will be difficult to deal with for the Celtics. We're going to chance it on the moneyline!
San Jose St enters this game at 3-24 overall and winless in 16 games in conference play. The Spartans have done well to cover the spread 7 out of their last 10 times but just 5 of their 16 conference losses have come by 8 points or less. The Spartans will of course be desperate for a win but we doubt they can stay competitive against good shooting Aggies team. If anything, we believe they could pull of the upset in their regular season finale against Air Force but for matters pertaining to this game, the Aggies should dominate from start to finish!
