SYMBOLOGY was a good winner of her debut race. Nevertheless, this is a much higher grade, and she didn’t beat the 80-rated NIGHTEYES by far!
In the betting market, the daughter of HAVANA GREY has been replaced as the favorite and that move is justified!
James Horten is sending LUNAR SHINE down from Middleham, and PJ McDonald will be taking the ride again. The KODIAC daughter won her debut race at Thirsk by a comfortable 2L, and she will be better suited by Ascot.
All the same, her form would be worth around 82 and she needs to find quite a bit.
CRY FICTION is entitled to run well, and at odds of 10/1, I wouldn’t want to lay the Jonathon Portman-trained filly.
One I would happily lay for a place is DAZZLING STAR, with the main reason being she lacks scope.
At the Royal meeting, PRETTY CRYSTAL finished 0.75L in front of KOMAT. However, both were drawn in separate groups, and the result shouldn’t be taken at face value.
In fact, after watching the replay of that race we believe that the Dominic Ffrench Davis-trained filly will reverse the form!
While Kevin Stott’s mount is still a bit rough around the edge, she’s clearly got more in the tank. Furthermore, she’s being offered at a solid 6/1 and those odds represent value.
