CLASS ACT AT YORK- GET ON

YORK 7:15 ELECTRIC EYES 4/1

David Loughnane and Laura Pearson have done a fantastic job to get 5 straight wins from SPARKS FLY.

However, the daughter of MUHAARAR is taking a big jump up in grade, and her jockey can’t claim her three-pound allowance. While I hope this admirable filly runs well, I can’t see her getting anything more than a place.

LONG AGO was a good winner of her last two races, but she’s only rated 92. Suffice to say, Michael Stoute’s filly needs to improve dramatically.

GOLDEN LYRIC is top-rated, it’s just that she was disappointing on her seasonal debut run. While the 4-year-old was given 87 days to recover, she’s giving 9 pounds to the three-year-olds.

QUEEN FOR YOU was highly tried in her last race, and this grade should be more within her grasp. Nevertheless, this superbly bred filly is unproven over this longer distance, and I’m not convinced she needs this far!

Over the past fortnight, Karl Burke had 9 winners from his 43 runners. The stable form gives us confidence about ELECTRIC EYES being ready for her seasonal debut. Furthermore, she did win her first time out as a two-year-old, and her pursuing 2nd in Group Two is the best form on show.

As for moving up in distance, I can only imagine it improving her chance. To cut a long story short, she’s the class act.
