As for BLUE SHARK, he too is starting to look a bit high in the ratings. Nevertheless, he did win 5 successive races before disappointing Exeter. While I can understand the logic in dropping back in distance, he’s limited in ability and beatable.
CHTI BALKO won his share of races, but he’s been in decline for a while. To cut a long story short, the 11-year-old needs a bigger drop in his handicap mark and easier ground.
Meanwhile, BARONY LEGENDS is extremely one-paced! With that in mind, this shorter distance is a big issue.
We are taking BAGHDAD CENTRAL to follow up on his Carlisle win! The 7-year-old didn’t beat much in that race, but he did show a better attitude and that could be key. The handicapper only raised Charlie Hammond’s mount two pounds, and more importantly, he’s receiving plenty of weight.
To cut a long story short, this point-to-point winner should have more to give!
