EVERTON vs LEICESTER – BETTING PICK

ENGLAND PREMIER

Thanks to Jordan Pickford, Everton comes into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw. Against Fulham, the England goalkeeper made two world-class saves to keep a clean sheet.

While Everton shared the points with Fulham, the scoreline should have been different. For the record, our xG (expected goals) suggested that the Cottagers were 1.52 goals better (2.63 – 1.11).

However, Pickford wasn’t in the mood for letting either Willian or Mitrovic find the back of the net. As for Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin did manage to get the ball in the Fulham net, but it was offside!

Previously, the Toffees won a home match against Crystal Palace 3-0. Nevertheless, the xG was 1.57 to 0.85, thus a single-goal win would have been fairer.

On a positive note, Lampard will be happy with those 4 points. Furthermore, he won’t be complaining about missing players as only Yerry Mina, Ben Godfrey, and Andros Townsend are sidelined.

The hosts are likely to stick with a similar starting XI, although Nathan Patterson could replace Seamus Coleman. Demarai Gray will line up against his former club, and support Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anthony Gordon in the attack.

Meanwhile, Leicester is beginning to run into form. While the 2016 Champions are still occupying a place in the relegation zone, Brendan Rodgers will be happier with what he’s seeing!

The Foxes come into this match on the back of a 0-1 defeat against Manchester City. Nevertheless, they played well against the best team in the EPL, and that match followed back-to-back wins.

Leicester has recently beaten Wolves (0-4) and Leeds (2-0). Those wins followed a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, and on the 3rd of October, they beat Nottingham 4-0.

For today’s match, Rodgers is still without unused players Ryan Bertrand and Ricardo Pereira. Other than that, only Jonny Evans is a doubt.

The Foxes are starting to hit peak form, and this match should be played to their liking!
