DOLOS is down in grade, but carrying top weight will slow him down. In my opinion, Paul Nicholls’ 10-year-old is not good enough for the top races, while at the same time, he’s hammered in handicaps.

If you want to lay one in this race, DOLOS is the ideal candidate!

In winning at Lingfield, FAST BUCK responded well to Jamie Moore’s coaxing. However, the handicapper responded harshly, and he will need to improve drastically. Also, that win was on heavy ground. and Jane Williams’ runner is better on a left-handed track.

Joe Tizzard is struggling for winners, and it’s hard to imagine THE WIDDOW MAKER changing the trainer’s fortunes. With that said, I will be watching the 9-year-old with the future in mind!

Harry Skelton is running two, and from those, I would prefer Bridget Andrews-ridden ECLAIR D’AINEY to well-supported stable companion THIRD TIME LUCKY.

As for FRERO BANBOU, the 8-year-old is proven at the track! However, followers of Venetia Williams’ must have become a lot poorer over the past few months. Furthermore, he likes to get his toe into the ground, and today’s forecast is for good-soft!

Meanwhile, I have no hesitation in saying that the one with the most scope is RED ROOKIE. While Emma Lavelle’s 8-year-old fell in two of his five chase races, concentration isn’t going to be an issue.

This race should be run to suit Tom Bellamy’s mount. With just 8-runners in the line-up, getting a clear view of his fences shouldn’t be a problem.

In summary, we have a well-handicapped individual who is certain to improve over fences.
