KAROLINA MUCHOVA vs ELENA RYBAKINA – BETTING PICK
WTA INDIAN WELLS
At the 2019 US Open, Karolina Muchova won her only previous meeting with Elena Rybakina!
As we often mention, Karolina Muchova is the real deal! The 26-year-olds current rank doesn’t represent her ability, and she’s been proving that this week!!
If Muchova can stay injury free, it won’t be long before she’s back in the top twenty. While the health part of the equation is yet to be answered, the Czech player is toughing it out in Indian Wells.
For the record, Karolina needed a total of 9:37 court time to beat her four opponents. On that note, the matches against Yulia Putintseva (2.22), Martina Trevisan (2.38), and Marketa Vondrousova (2.37) went the distance. The other against Victoria Azarenka ended 7/6 6/3 and was completed in a time of 2:06.
One thing is certain, Muchova is loving these courts and conditions. The only question remaining is, can she recover and play to the same level again.
Meanwhile, Elena Rybakina had an easy passage (6/3 6/0) past her last-round opponent Varvara Gracheva. Whereas, against Badosa Gibert the 23-year-old needed 1:36 to complete the job. However, in her first match of the tournament, Sofia Kenn took her to two tie breaks and 2:10 court time.
For the most part, the Wimbledon Champion is playing her level. Elena is enjoying these testing courts, and she’s certainly become a big tournament player.
In conclusion, despite Rybakina being the higher-ranked player, we can’t see much between this pairing! With Muchova, it’s a case of the bigger they are, the harder they fall!
