From the data we have at hand, it is hard to justify these odds. While Jupiler League home advantage used to be massive, that is no longer the case. In fact, at the time of writing, the balance for home/draw/away is 48.3% – 14.6% – 37.1%.

As it stands, Leuven took 22 points from 16 games. They are a mid-table 9th, but they managed just 10 points (3-1-3) from 7 home games. Marc Brys’ men haven’t won in five, and they are 0-1-2 from the last three home games. Incidentally, Genk and Royale Union were the teams to win in this stadium, whereas Gent drew.

In the last round, OHL lost (2-1) in Cerclee Brugge. In that match, they didn’t turn 63% possession into chances. To cut a long story short, some sloppy defending allowed their opponent to score an injury-time winner.

For today’s game, the hosts reported two missing players. One of them is up-and-coming center-back Ewoud Pletinckx, while the other is long-term injured Siebe Schrijvers.

At the end of the last season, Seraing needed a play-out to retain their Jupiler league status. Whereas, at the time of writing the visitors have 11 points and are bottom of the table.

Seraing comes into this match on the back of four successive defeats. However, they only lost those matches by a single goal to St Truiden, Royale Union, Gent, and Cerclee Brugge. Also, they were unfortunate to get nothing from at least two of those games, and on that note…

In that most recent game against St Truiden, Jean-Sebastien Legros’ team took a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately for him, Mvoue hadn’t read the script and his sending off on 44 minutes was a game-changer! In short, two late goals meant a debut defeat for the newly appointed Legros.

The visitors are without suspended Steve Mvoue, while another four players are injured. One of them is goalkeeper Guillaume Dietsch, he missed the last 7 games and will be out for the foreseeable future. Christophe Lepoint, Abou Ba, and Gerald Kilota are the others sidelined. On a positive note, Sami Lahssaini is available, and Marius is another possibility.

With a bit of luck, Legros will be able to get his first point tonight. Seraing has played better on the road, and they are getting a couple of key players back for this game!
