Back in September, these teams drew the reverse match 1-1. However, it was a contentious game, with Midtjylland scoring from a penalty in the 11th minute of extra time! There will be no love lost between these sides! The way Midtjylland reacted after scoring that late penalty was shameful.

For these two teams, seven main season matches are remaining. As it stands, Nordsjaelland is top of the league table with a 2-point lead over Viborg. Also, the Tigers have a game in hand, and it’s a further 7 points back to FCK and Silkeborg. For the record, Midtjylland is 10-points off the pace!

At the end of the main season, the top 6 clubs will take their points into a 10-game Championship Group. Flemming Pedersen will be hoping his players can build a comfort zone by establishing an even bigger lead.

Nordsjaelland started the season with four successive wins, but could only manage 8 points from their next 6 games (2-2-2). While it looked like the bubble had burst, the youngest squad in the division regrouped. In fact, Pedersen’s men are 3-2-0 over the last five games, and they come into this match on the back of two straight wins!

Meanwhile, by beating Sturm Graz (2-0) on Thursday night, Midtjylland qualified for the next round of the Europa league. Incredibly, the four teams in Group F all finished on 8 points, and qualifying was decided on head-to-head!

Nevertheless, despite having the rub of the green in Europe, the Wolves have been poor on the domestic front. While Albert Capellas will be hoping that his players can change that tonight, the fact is they won just 5/15 games.

The Wolves come into this match on the back of losing a league match to Odense. Finally, at home, the hosts are 2-2-4, which is the third-worst record in the league.

Revenge is best served cold, and that’s what we expect when the Tigers face the wolves tonight!
