NASHVILLE vs FC CINCINNATI – BETTING PICK

MLS – USA

We made nine early football best today, and seven of them are in this week’s MLS. With many players on International duty, this round is a big betting opportunity.

Since the start of the 2021 season, these teams met on a total of four occasions. For the record, Nashville SC won two of those fixtures, and the other two were drawn. In last year’s only meeting, they played out a 1-1 draw.

Gary Smith’s, Nashville, started the season with a 2-1-1. Following an opening win (2-0) against New York City, NSC drew (0-0) away at New York Red Bulls before beating  (2-0) CF Montreal. However, in the last round, Smith’s men failed to score in New England Revolution, and they lost that game 1-0.

For tonight’s game, the Boys in Gold are still without recently operated center-back Nick DePuy. Randal Leal is another injured player, while Anibal Godoy is questionable.

As for FC Cincinnati, they remain unbeaten (2-2-0) in this season’s MLS. In fact, Pat Noonan’s team won their two home matches against Houston Dynamo (2-1) and Seattle Sounders (1-0). Whereas, on the road, FCC played out draws in Orlando City (0-0) and Chicago Fire (3-3).

While the visitors needed two late goals to draw in Chicago, they were worthy of at least a point. After all, they managed to get 9 from 14 shots on target, and that compared to just 4 for their opponent.

The best news for FCC is they have defender Nick Hagglund returning from suspension.

Junior Moreno and Marco Angulo are away on International duty, and Yuya Kubo is injured. Also, Isiah Foster is a doubt, but with a deep squad, none of that should matter!

If you didn’t already know, the Orange and Blues hold the longest active road regular season unbeaten streak in MLS.

In short, FCC looks like a stronger outfit this time around. Missing players shouldn’t be an issue, and getting the half-goal start is a betting blessing.
