LUDLOW 2:25 LETS GO TO VEGAS
FLYING NUN is due to carry a 7-pound penalty for winning. If her trainer skipped this race and waited a few days, the actual penalty would be five pounds. Under such criteria, we should look further!
LILLY GLITTERS usually hits a flat spot, but it hasn’t stopped her from rallying to win two of her last three races. Nevertheless, I’m not convinced that today’s jockey Alice Stevens will have the motivational strength.
As for TERRISITA, the ground won’t be an issue, and nor will the sharp right-handed track. My only issue with the Lucy Wadham-trained 6-year-old is her recent form. In short, something doesn’t seem right with the daughter of WESTERNER, and I can’t imagine her jockey 10-pound claim making a difference.
Two runners I’m happy to swerve are IORENS and KRAQUELINE. The first mentioned was well-beaten at short odds, and Kerry Lee’s 6-year-old is waiting for the switch to fences.
The distance is an unknown factor with UCANAVER, albeit she would have a chance if she stays. Nevertheless, while this is an easy three miles, I have big doubts!
With everything considered, it’s got to be LETS GO TO VEGAS. The main reason for my support is an opening mark of 110. Alistair Ralph’s 5-year-old should be capable of leaving this rating behind.
Also, stepping up in distance is a positive, and so is the faster ground. After all, Jonathon Burke should be able to get her settled on a track like Ludlow.
In summary, this race might look competitive on paper, but we are betting on the one with the most scope. The daughter of GETAWAY should get the race run to suit, and these odds are fine!
