WOLVERHAMPTON 3:45 UNPLUGGED 9/2

HARBOUR VISION won his last race comfortably, and he’s only 4 pounds higher. However, on that occasion, he was given a good ride by a 5-pound claimer, and today’s jockey Frederick Tete doesn’t claim. To cut a long story short, he’s on a career-high mark.

For his grade, BUSBY wins his fair share (9/40) of all-weather races. Also, Phil Kirby’s 7-year-old was a good winner last time out, and he’s won his last three races at Wolverhampton. The son of KODIAC was once rated 84, thus today’s 66 isn’t going to be an issue.

However, on this occasion, I’m going to recommend getting with Mick Easterby’s UNPLUGGED. The lightly raced 6-year-old was unlucky in running the last twice, and under the circumstances, he ran well. In short, the selection gives the impression of being better than a mark of 63.

SOUTHWELL 1:43 SKYBLUE EXPERT 7/2

In a recent race at Chelmsford, SKYBLUE EXPERT finished just in front of ATTRAZIONE. After watching a replay of that race (RacingTV), I’m convinced that Alice Hayne’s gelding will confirm placings. After all, his then-jockey Kieran O’Neill didn’t give the son of EXPERT EYE a particularly good ride.

For the record, after bouncing out of the stalls he started to race freely. While his jockey took a pull, it must have cost energy resources. Nevertheless, he boxed on well and left the impression a mile would suit better.

Thore Hammer Hanson is taking over in the saddle, and he receives 4 pounds from the favourite. Since the others all look beatable, I won’t be digging any further.
