RACING SERVICE HIGH-VALUE PICK

LINGFIELD 2:35 ONEUPMANSHIP 8/1

BURROWS PARK won 7 of his 31 races, and when last seen he fought off ITACARE to win a hurdle. However, the 10-year-old doesn’t make a habit of winning after a break, and he’s yet to prove himself over fences. In short, he should be capable of winning more races, but we doubt it will be today.

MUCHO MAS represents the in-form stable of Ben Pauling. On his seasonal/chasing debut, the 6-year-old was only just touched off by ARIZONA CARDINAL. The handicapper raised him two pounds for that effort, and the winner of that race was well beaten next time out. Also, only 1.5L separated the first four, and that makes me dubious about the strength of the form. While the favorite has an obvious chance, I’m convinced that he’s under the odds!

The easy ground and track won’t affect the chance of SHELDON. Nevertheless, he’s a hold-up type, and applying that tactic increases risk.

On her chasing debut, GOOD LUCK CHARM split runners rated considerably higher. Suffice to say, returning to a handicap with a mark of 115 gives her a chance, albeit I’m dubious! To make a long story short, that 3-runner race was messy and I’m not going to take it literally.

The racing post is tipping SEIGNEUR DES AS, but I can’t understand why. The RP seems to think the WFA advantage is worth taking, but they fail to understand that he’s poorly handicapped.

One that should do better is BILL BAXTER, albeit he’s going to be better suited by a right-handed track.

As for my idea of the winner, it’s ONEUPMANSHIP. The son of MAHLER doesn’t take much to get ready. Furthermore, he comes from a stable that is in excellent form, and he’s happy racing on testing ground.

Finally, Rex Dingle is a top chase jockey, and this 7-year-old has the scope to do much better. At 9/1 on the Exchanges, he’s a must-have in today’s portfolio.
