DUBROVNIK HARRY is an interesting contender. He’s a course winner, and making this quick switch to fences is a positive sign. Harry Fry is in the winners, and the 6-year-old had a wind operation since he last ran. However, while good-soft is fair on all the runners, I wonder if this fella would be better on more testing ground.

The son of YEATS impressed most when he won on heavy ground by 25 lengths. Incidentally, that was three runs back, and in subsequent races, he was beaten at odds of 1/3 before running a solid 3/14 in a Grade 3 handicap.

Gary Moore didn’t waste time in switching BLACK GERRY to fences, and since then he won 2 of his 5 races. One of those was last time out at Fontwell when he beat next-time-out winner STATUARIO. Nevertheless, I have a feeling that the 7-year-old is exposed, and a five-pound rise will make life tough.

As for NEW MOON, he was a fair 5th on his chasing debut. My reason for thinking he’s beatable is the drop in distance and being a hold-up type. Not being able to get a clear view of your fences is hazardous with an inexperienced chaser.

Despite drifting slightly in the betting market, all arrows point to BOWTOGREATNESS. The 6-year-old as the stamp of a chaser, and I expect him to do much better at this game. His trainer Ben Pauling is in great form, and conditions are spot on.

In short, he’s going to be a big bet for us!
