SERVETTE vs LUGANO: BETTING PREVIEW & PICK

SWISS SUPERLEAGUE

In the most recent round of matches, Servette, who currently holds the second position, experienced the end of a commendable 5-game unbeaten streak. This unexpected turn of events, however, can be attributed to the fact that they found themselves at a numerical disadvantage, having two of their players sent off during the game.

Under the leadership of Rene Weiler, Servette was in control with a 1-0 lead when Enzo Crivelli received a red card in the 27th minute. Although Yoan Severin’s expulsion in the 94th minute didn’t alter the outcome, it means both players will be suspended for the upcoming match.

In the subsequent Europa Conference League fixture against Ludogorets, Servette managed only a 0-0 draw. Coach Weiler opted for five changes in the lineup for that match, which could have been more extensive if the suspended players were eligible. Despite launching a staggering 25 goal attempts against the Bulgarian team, Servette’s efforts resulted in only four shots on target and none of them found the back of the net!

Anticipating the starting lineup for the upcoming match, particularly in the goalkeeper position, presents a challenge. However, with only David Douline sidelined due to injury and the other two players suspended, Weiler has a pool of 27 players to choose from his 30-man squad.

Currently, Servette holds a 7-point advantage over Lugano, who sits in the fifth position. Notably, Servette has accumulated 22 points from 11 home matches, in contrast, Lugano took 16 points from away games.

Lugano heads into this fixture following a draw against Young Boys. Despite falling behind three times against the league leaders, their performance warranted the result.

Despite boasting a 33-man squad, Lugano coach Croci-Torti will be without seven players for the upcoming match. Key absentees include Ignacio Aliseda, Yanis Cimignani, Martim Marques, and Renato Steffen, who were also unavailable for the previous game.

Considering the team news and recent performances, we trust the Maroons to take the three points. The hosts are a slick-playing team, and they won the reverse game 0-1.
