From what we have been watching, Cirstea is finding plenty of depth and executing her plan! In that last match against Vondrousova, she limited her opponent by narrowing the angles. To cut a long story short, a similar tactic is the best way to play today’s opponent!
Meanwhile, Sabalenka has become a lot more consistent, and her 21/2 YTD supports that theory. The player from Belarus won her three matches in straight sets, and in the last round sent Krejcikova packing with a 6/3 6/2.
On the way to winning the Australian Open, Aryna won six of her seven matches in straight sets. Also, she arrived here on the back of making the final of Indian Wells.
In conclusion, while it would be hard to criticize Sabalenka, we believe Cirstea accomplished even more at this tournament. Her change in temperament is positive, and she’s got a puncher’s chance. For the purpose of betting, it all comes down to this handicap start!
