TROMSO vs VIKING – BETTING PREVIEW

NORWAY ELITE

If we take into consideration the last campaign, Tromso finished 7th in the League table. In comparison, Viking ended 11th and 8 points behind today’s hosts!

The Boys (Tromso) lost just two of their 15 home games. With 29 points from 15 matches, Gaute Helstrup’s team was the 6th best host.

As for the visitors, they finished 4-3-8 in away games. During the same campaign, those 15 points made Viking the 10th best traveler.

Incidentally, last season’s meetings between these teams ended in draws. The scoreline was 1-1 in this stadium, and 2-2 in the reverse match.

In the meantime, Tromso cashed in on selling August Mikkelsen (€1.5M), Warren Kamanzi (€600K), and Eric Kitolino (€450K).

One of the club’s replacements is Vegard Erlien. The striker arrived on a free transfer from Ranheim, and he rewarded his new club by scoring the winner against Molde. Ex-Venezia (U19) forward Hillier Rain Mikaelsson is another new recruit who started both games!

For the record, Tromso took four points from their opening two games against Molde (1-0) and Sandefjord (0-0).

Viking have a 24-man squad! During the off-season, the club cashed in €5.7 million from selling three players. Daniel Karlsbakk (€2.5M), Venton Berisha (€2M), and Sebastian Sebulonsen (€1.2M) were the players sold.

From the incoming, Nick D’Agostino (€800K), Lars Jorgen Salvesen (€700K), and Sander Svedsson (€500K) were cash deals!

Despite having the better chances, the visitors started the campaign with a defeat in Rosenborg (1-0). Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim’s team has since bounced back to beat Lillestrom (2-0).

Betting Tip

On paper, the starting XI from Viking would be worth more (€) than their opponents. Nevertheless, Tromso is a difficult team to beat at home, and Gaute Helstrup will have a plan. Furthermore, it is hard to get away from the numbers of last season! To cut a long story short, everything points to the hosts being a great value bet!
