12:55 BIG JIM BEAM 7/1

This is an interesting race for betting! I can eliminate several of the principles, and it’s that which helps me to identify the value. On his best flat-form, CELTIC ART would be highly competitive in a race of this nature. However, Jeremy Scott’s 6-year-old hasn’t been running well, and he’s likely to be better over further.

I am not at all keen on the chance of a well-supported PONCHO. While Gary Moore’s 5-year-old only had two NHF races, being placed in them doesn’t amount to much!

MULLINAREE finished third to a good one in WAR SOLDIER. Nevertheless, the 2nd in that race is only rated 112, and he was 8.5L behind.

Since the grade of this race is modest, hurdling debutant MONTMARTIN could go well. In fact, I would be more worried about an unarmed 5-year-old compared to those at the head of the market. With that said, runners from this yard are given time, and the grey is bred to need longer distances.

If I was having two picks in a place pot, one of those slots would be used by MARDOOF. Mitchell Hunt’s 5-year-old ran above expectancy in both of his hurdle races. In short, he’s clearly better at this game and it won’t be long before he’s winning races. As for my idea of the winner, it’s another 7/1 shot BIG JIM BEAM.

The 7-year-old won a bumper at this track, and his numbers in that sphere are better than the opposition. Warren Greatrex has his team in great form, and I am expecting him to settle better today. James Bowen will have the option of leading, and being at the forefront is a good idea in such a race.
