BARBORA KREJCIKOVA vs DARIA KASATKINA – BETTING TIP

WTA DUBAI

In her 2nd match of the year, Daria Kasatkina beat Barbora Krejcikova 6/2 7/5. On the way to making the final in Adelaide, the Russian went on to beat Petra Kvitova.

However, at that stage, the 25-year-old was banged off the court by Belinda Bencic (6/0 6/2). What followed was a first-round exit to Varvara Gracheva (6/1 6/1) at the Australian Open, and then two 2nd round defeats.

For the record, while Kasatkina beat Jil Teichmann and Rebecca Marino, she lost her other matches to Qinwen Zheng (Abu Dhabi) and Beatriz Haddad Maia (Doha).

Following last year’s 41/22, Dasha made it to a career-high ranking of 8. While she’s retained that spot for the current tournament, this season’s 5/5 suggests she’s below that level.

In addition, it is worth noting that the hard court is Kasatkina’s worst surface. While she has an average win rate of 64.5%, it falls to 58.4%. In comparison, her strike rate on clay is 71.9% and 69.7% indoors.

While Kasatkina is a former finalist in this tournament, her recent efforts leave a bit to be desired. In fact, over the past four years, she’s not been able to make it beyond the first round!!

Meanwhile, after losing in the 2nd round of Adelaide, Krejcikova made it to the fort round of the Australian Open. Also, at the end of last season, she won back-to-back tournaments in Tallinn and Ostrava. And, in doing so beat players such as Beatriz Haddad Maia, Belinda Bencic, Anett Kontaveit, Elena Rybakina, and Iga Swiatek.

As the past winner of the French Open, it is fair to suggest that Krejcikova is slightly better on clay. However, she’s a strong all-rounder and in 2021 she was a finalist here. To cut a long story short, big bet on the Czech player!
