5:45 UNBREAK MY HEART 5/1

The ground is good at Bath, so none of the runners have an excuse. This is an interesting listed race on paper, with a handful of runners having a claim. With that said, we are only interested in betting on one of the contenders, here is the preview;

Of those at bigger odds, only the lightly raced EXPONISTA and SOPHIA’S DELIGHT would be of interest. The first mentioned is capable of improving further, while Grant Tuer trained SOPHIA’S DELIGHT has solid form in the book!

PINAFORE represents the strong stable of William Haggas, and according to BHB ratings, she’s one of the principals. However, while fitness is assured, she lacks scope!

Silvestre De Sousa is down to ride CD winner ADAAY IN DEVON. On her last visit here, the 3-year-old won a handicap by 2.25L. That win was on heavy ground, and her other four victories all came on easy ground. While the favourite is progressive, she will find this a bigger challenge on drying ground!

One that is entitled to run well is RAGE OF BAMBY. Eve Johnson Houghton’s filly is a strong traveller, and she doesn’t take much getting ready. Nevertheless, one reason for taking her on is the distance because she needs further than 5 furlongs!

ELECTRIC STORM won both her races to date, although they were over further and on the all-weather surface. As for top-rated VADREAM, she’s not the easiest to predict. Also, the 6-year-old is used to racing over further than the minimum distance, and she too would prefer easy ground.

Despite being drawn is stall 13, the most natural sprinter in the race is UNBREAK MY HEART. The Clive Cox-trained daughter of SHOWCASING is a CD winner, and she ended the last season by finishing 3rd in Group 3. John Fahy’s mount should get a nice tow into the race, and her turn of foot should be too much for the opposition!
