DORTMUND vs FC COPENHAGEN – BETTING TIP

Following five games of the German Bundesliga, Dortmund is a joint leader with 12 points. At the weekend, Edin Terzic sent out his team to beat (1-0) Hoffenheim. Also, Dortmund won other league matches against Bayer Leverkusen, Freiburg and Hertha Berlin, but lost to Werder Bremen.

During the summer transfer window, BVB allowed Erling Haaland to transfer out to Manchester City for €60 million. Manuel Akanji was another sold to the EPL champions for €17.5M. On a positive note, that money and (€12M) more was spent on acquiring players.

However, Haaland’s replacement Sebastien Haller is injured and will miss tonight’s match. Another striker Jamie Bynoe-Gittens dislocated his shoulder at the weekend. The hosts are also without Mateu Morey and Mahmoud Dahoud, while Raphael Guerreiro, Adeyemi and Donyell Malen are doubts. Albeit, both Malen and Adeyemi are training and should be available for tonight’s Champions League.

Meanwhile, Copenhagen won their match at the weekend against Silkeborg. Nevertheless, they were fortunate to get all three points, and they are just 4-0-4 in the Danish Superliga.

From what we have been watching, FCK is struggling in defence. Only three teams conceded fewer goals than Jess Thorup’s men, and it could have been worse if opponents had converted chances.

The visitors are likely to be without 16-year-old wonder kid Roony Bardghji. One of the goalkeepers Kamil Grabara is injured, meaning Matthew Ryan is expected to wear the gloves. One piece of good news is the availability of Nicolai Boilesen. He was given minutes at the weekend, and he’s expected to play a bigger role tonight.

Khouma Babacar was hoping to be transferred out but it hasn’t happened. Whether the striker is considered for this match remains to be seen but we expect Andreas Cornelius to lead the line. Unfortunately, FCK’s top scorer Pep Biel shipped out to Olympiacos, and winger William Böving joined Sturm Graz.

While the hosts are struggling for strikers, the players available are still better than those of FCK. Home advantage is another factor, and Dortmund is fully proven at this level. Since we expected the odds to be shorter again, this is an easy bet to call!
