1:40 PASSING GLANCE 100/30

GREAT HEART’JAC traveled well before winning a four-horse race, and the 2nd followed up the next time out. However, that was his first win, and in his seven previous races, he was a beaten favorite on 4 occasions.

The 8-year-old is stepping up in grade, and Huntingdon is a very different course to Leicester. Since Lily Pinchin is injured, MANINSANE will be ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies. While that might sound like a positive booking, I doubt Charlie Longsdon’t runner will agree.

My issue with TRAPISTA is a sharp two miles. While he was a winner here, that hurdle race was over another 3 furlongs. For the most part, Jonjo O’Neill’s mare is consistent and she will be thereabouts.

However, since he last raced, CHARLIE’S GLANCE had a wind operation, and he’s the one to bet. The Andrew Martin-trained 7-year-old had just one try over fences, and chances are he’s going to be better at this game. Furthermore, the son of PASSING GLANCE is down in grade, and he’s going to get his favoured ‘’good ground’’.

Since the gelding won off a mark of 114, it is fair to assume he’s well-handicapped. Finally, if we include his jockeys allowance, he’s receiving weight from the others.
