5:10 MOLE COURT 11/4

If we go back to this time last year, EL RIO was impressive when winning by 11L at Ascot. Unfortunately, in three runs since, Kim Bailey’s 7-year-old has been disappointing. To cut a long story short, the mount of David Bass needs to improve for a switch to chasing!

At Wincanton, TOUCHY FREELY made one mistake too many before paying the price and falling at the 2nd last! While she’s in the right hands, dropping back to 2M4F will put even more pressure on her jumping!

PEARLY ISLAND is more exposed than the others, and she’s not the most natural of jumpers. Despite coming from a stable in good form, Tom Cannon’s mount is one to take on!

Paul Webber’s EYED ran a good race over course and distance last time out! However, the 7-year-old gelding is paying the price with a 4-pound rating increase. Nevertheless, the son of KAYF TARA is receiving weight from the other principals, and he’s one with a chance!

For the most part, GLENCASSLEY jumped well before winning on his chasing debut at Hereford. In raising him 3 pounds, the handicapper hasn’t overreacted to Charlie Longsdon’s gelding. Nevertheless, along with the other runners, we want to take him on with MOLE COURT

While his winning run ended at Cheltenham, losing ground at the start didn’t help. Also, racing on the bad ground wouldn’t have suited him, and in the circumstances, the 7-year-old ran a fair race in finishing an eleven-length 7th of 16 to HASCOEUR CLERMONT.

Ben Pauling’s gelding won’t mind the drop in distance, and I feel he’s got more to give over fences.
