GOODWOOD 3:00 HOO YA MAL 11/2

WEST WIND BLOWS keeps winning easily, and he’s clearly got the potential to progress. However, let us stick with the facts, and one of them is he’s rated 104. Suffice to say, he will need to take a big step forwards to win a group three.

According to the handicapper, NEW LONDON is 5 pounds higher than the Crisford runner. The DUBAWI colt won his last race (big handicap) with any amount in hand, and he’s the bookmaker’s favourite for a good reason.

Nevertheless, despite failing to win from three runs this season, HOO YA MAL is the one to be on. Since finishing 2nd in the Derby, the TERRITORIES son was sold to Go Bloodstock for £1,200,000. Based on that price, it’s as though his ex-connections are saying that 2nd was a fluke. However, we are of a different opinion, and I trust George Boughey to get more out of this strong stayer.

EPSOM 5:55 PABLO PRINCE 17/2

ANDELEEP is running really well, and he needs consideration. However, he doesn’t have the best win record, and he’s relative short odds.

The distance worries me for YOUARENOTFORGIVEN, he’s bred for shorter and he won his last race over an easy mile.

Front-runner, STOPNSEARCH should guarantee a strong pace, and he’s going to handle the track. Since his last win was off a mark of 72, today 68 should be within his scope. Brett Johnson’s 5 year old should run his race, but more importantly, he could set it up for PABLO PRINCE.

While the 4-year-old won his race over 12F, he made an excellent return over this distance at Windsor. In fact, the OUTSTRIP gelding was only beaten 4L, and he would have been closer with a clear run.

By the way, the selection is a pound lower today, and Frederick Larson’s 3-pound claim is another bonus. Finally, conditions will suit, and he’s the type to handle such a track.
