MASSIVE BETTING VALUE – ON US

Massive Betting Value – On Us. It is very rare for us to suggest an each way bet, but we want to get the place part on this one. While you can get a bit bigger than 10/1 by shopping around, you are unlikely to get 2/1 on the place – Looks sound, let’s roll!

NEWBURY 1:50 JACK DARCY 10/1 (EACH WAY)

It is fair to suggest that the derby favorite ARREST hasn’t lived up to expectations. While many pundits are suggesting the fast ground was against him, he’s disappointed in his last two races!  While the son of FRANKEL is down in class, I wouldn’t want to be taking such short odds.

The lightly raced KLONDIKE won his debut maiden at Newbury, and next time out he was 2nd in a listed race. More recently, the son of GALILEO was 4th of 6 in Group 3. Based on what we have been watching and his rating, William Haggas’  colt needs to find extra.

Following 12 races without a win, KEMARI bounced back to land a 12F race at Newmarket. However, while some higher-rated runners finished behind, the fact is Charlie Appleby’s gelding only just got the better of 98-rated OUTBOX.

Six-year-old SHANDOZ is back from a long break, and he wouldn’t be racing at this level if his trainer didn’t believe in his ability. Nevertheless, 656 days is a long time out of the game, and he won’t be given a hard time!

As for my idea of a value bet, it’s got to be JACK DARCY. Neil Callan will again be taking the ride, and the 4-year-old comes into this on the back of a career-best run. Incidentally, at Goodwood, the son of GLENEAGLES was 2nd to 117-rated HAMISH with the rest of the field well beaten.

A repeat run over this longer distance should make the selection highly competitive.
