MUSSELBURGH RACES: THREE BETTING PICKS FOR FREE

Musselburgh Races: Three Betting Picks For Free. Sometimes less can be more, and on this occasion, we decided to share our three betting tips with anybody who wants them.

With all due respect, we can’t get overly excited about the card in Fairyhouse. In our opinion, Willie Mullins is closing in on a monopoly, and it’s not good for betting purposes.

The most interesting racing today is in Pau (France). We will be betting more on these races than the others, but we see no point in sharing them on this platform. To be honest, I’m always bamboozled by why UK/Irish punters don’t take advantage of foreign racing because it’s so easy to win!

MUSSELBURGH RACES: THREE BETTING PICKS FOR FREE

1:20 AN BRADAN FEASA 3/1

LIARI didn’t travel north for the Scottish fresh air, but I for one want to get with AN BRADAN FEASA. The Newmarket trainer Jack Jones is doing well with his string, and the former Joseph Patrick O’Brien inmate comes into this on the back of an excellent win at Cheltenham. With the potential of more to come, the six-year-old will take some stopping!

2:25 RECOUP 11/4

Gavin Cromwell is happy to take the ferry and travel from Ireland for any opportunity. In this race, the County Meath-based trainer is responsible for four-time winner HYPOTENUS. The 5-year-old is currently vying for favoritism, and he should be capable of taking home some prize money.

However, for the winner I readily prefer RECOUP. Fergal O’Brien’s French import beat next-time winner CHOCCABLOC (126) on his hurdling debut. The pair were 11L clear of 112 rated JOUR D’EVASION, thus adding substance to the value of the form. When trained in France by Andre Fabre, the son of SEA THE STARS was a strong stayer rated 37.5 (UK 85). Based on that, the extra distance will suit and he’s got the scope to improve again!

4:05 LIHYAN 9/1

IMPACT DU BONHEUR is going to be equipped with first-time cheekpieces. Whether that brings the improvement required remains to be seen. The Nicholls-trained gelding has something to prove, and for me, he’s a poor favorite!

At bigger odds (9/1), it’s worth chancing LIHYAN. The 6-year-old was only just touched off in his last race by DUYFKEN, and with a better round of jumping the result could have been different.
