NEWMARKET 6:55 GLOBAL ESTEEM 9/2

BRASIL POWER won 2 of his 4 all-weather races, but he’s zero from 5 on turf. Whether that is a factor is questionable, but I do believe he’s rather exposed.

While STOCKPYLE won races over seven furlongs, he’s been finishing recent races weakly. In the hope of finding improvement, PJ McDonald’s mount will be equipped with first-time cheekpieces. Nevertheless, Newmarket isn’t the track for a softy and as such he’s worth opposing!

Meanwhile, PRISCILLA’S WISH is in the hands of the handicapper, and GRANARY QUEEN isn’t the type to win.

This looks like a great opportunity for GLOBAL ESTEEM to record a 6th win. The 6-year-old made a good return at Ascot, and on this occasion, his jockey Kaiya Fraser can take off a full 7 pounds.

The KODIAC son won his last three races off his current mark, and he’s suited to this type of track. However, the selling point is a return to 7F and being able to take this from the front!

FONTWELL 6:30 AMERICAIN GERRY 9/2

IN THE AIR is the class act, but he’s handicapped to the hilt. Giving away weight in a small field is an extra challenge, and I can see him being outgunned.

WATERGRANGE JACK is returning from a three-month break on a high enough handicap mark. In fact, Neill Mulholland’s 7-year-old last win was from a mark of 103, whereas he’s now rated 111.

When last seen, TIMES ARE BLUE was regressive. Oliver Sherwood will be hoping that a break did the gelding good, but for now, he’s got something to prove.

SMALL BAD BOB is a course and distance winner, and he’s returning to hurdling after winning a chase. However, the 8-year-old is 3 pounds higher in this sphere, so we are taking him on with AMERICAN GERRY.

Nathan Brennan will take off a useful 7 pounds, and he’s been dropped back down to his last winning handicap mark. With conditions in his favor, the son of AMERICAIN can do this lot for speed!
