PORTO vs INTER MILAN – BETTING TIP
Inter Milan was fortunate to win the reverse game! At the time of Ramelu Lukaku’s (86th minute) scoring, Porto had been reduced to ten men. Our xG on that match was 1.78 to 1.80, which suggests a draw would have been fair.
While the strikers should have done better, both goalkeepers made some excellent saves. On the stroke of halftime, Diogo Costa showed fine reflexes to deny Bastoni a glancing header. On the other side, Onana pulled off a double barrel save from close range in 56 minutes. As for the goal, Lukaku hit the post with his initial header. However, the ball rebounded kindly, and the substitute buried it on the second attempt!
The fazit of that last match was Inter did most of the pressing, and Porto’s opportunities came from counter-attacks. Since Inter is bringing a 1-0 lead to the Estádio do Dragão, the emphasis will be on the hosts to pick up the gauntlet.
As for team news, Porto is now without midfielder Otavio. After rightfully picking up a second yellow card in Milan, he’s serving a one-match ban. Unfortunately, Joao Mario was injured at the weekend, thus he too will be sidelined for tonight. The other two confirmed absentees are players who haven’t participated this season.
On a positive note, after missing recent matches Evanilson is back training. Coach Sergio Conceicao will need to make a decision on whether to start with the prolific Brazilian or put in on the bench. Also, Gabriel Veron is back from a long injury, and he’s been an unused substitute in the last two league games.
Meanwhile, Inter confirmed Robin Gosens was injured at the weekend, thus he’s unavailable. On a more upbeat note, Joaquin Correa is available after missing the last seven games. At the time of writing, Milan Skriniar is questionable!
We are going to take a leap of faith in Porto! The hosts will get opportunities tonight, and hopefully, Evanilson & co can take them!!
