EXETER 3:15 PREMIER D’TROICE 11/1

Because of the anticipated fast ground, both SAMUEL JACKSON & COPPERHEAD have become non-runners.

At the time of writing, the online bookmakers have GAZETTE BOURGOISE at around 4/1. However, I would expect him to drift in the betting to around 6/1, and he’s not my idea of the winner.

RADDON TOP won 6 of his 18 point-to-point races, and since switching to rules he’s 4/14. Consequently, the 10-year-old will win more races, but for now, he’s handicapped to the hilt.

Last time out, FAVORI DE SIVOLA failed to handle the heavy ground. Jane Williams’ 8-year-old should do better and I would expect him to place.

THE MACON LUGNATIC is at the right end of the weights, it’s just that he’s unproven at the distance and a bit short in the betting.

David Noonan rode D’JANGO to win his last race, but on this occasion, he’s chosen FAVORI DE SIVOLA. I expect he’s chosen the right one because this fella is inconsistent.

In fact, David Pipe’s other runner GWENCILY BERBAS would have a better chance. For the record, the 12-year-old is a course and distance winner, albeit he’s just 2/29 over fences.

COUP DE PINCEAU won 5 of his 24 races, and the marathon distance won’t faze Syd Hosie’s 11-year-old. Nevertheless, he’s high in the ratings, and I prefer chancing the outsider of the part PREMIER D’TROICE.

Following another wishy-washy ride by Harry Kimber, it is good to see Katy Price utilizing the talented Gavin Sheehan. The 9-year-old will get the distance, and he’s two pounds below his last winning mark!
