WARWICK 4:25 ONEWAYORTOTHER 7/2

It is fair to say FISTON DE BEC is in great form. However, the 9-year-old is going up in the weights and he’s up against an interesting one in ONEWAYORTOTHER.

Toby Lawes lightly raced 6 year old is making a quick switch to fences, and he’s expected to be much better at this game. Harry Bannister’s mount will appreciate the return to good ground, and a recent wind operation is another positive!

WARWICK 5:00 DREAM IN THE PARK 7/2

Neither TRAPISTA nor AMERICAN GERRY appeal. While both won last time out, this is a better race. Following a below-par run at Leicester, MITIADES was given a 104-day break. However, he’s been beaten over this CD from a 3-pound lower mark, and his profile suggests he’s of limited ability.

GOD’S OWN GETAWAY won his chasing debut at Southwell. On that occasion, Dan Skelton’s 6-year-old was given a strong ride by brother Harry. While he’s open to improvement, he’s been raised 6 pounds!

From a low mark of 110, DREAM IN THE PARK is more interesting. The 7-year-old ran well in his last race at Ascot, and this is a lesser grade!

KEMPTON 4:05 UNANSWERED PRAYER 8/1

For the most part, KILLER KANE never scaled the heights expected of him. While the 9-year-old is entitled to run well, I prefer to look elsewhere.

QUICK DRAW won 7 of his 23 races, including one at this course. Nicky Henderson’s 8-year-old won his last race at Wincanton, for which he was raised 5 pounds. While he’s in good form, a career-high handicap mark will make life hard.

While KARL PHILIPPE is an interesting contender, we should chance UNANSWERED PRAYER. The Chris Gordon-trained gelding will stay 3 miles! Also, he will be best suited to this right-handed track. The good ground and a dropping mark are other positives, and so are the odds of around 17/2.

BATH 3:25 SYMBOL OF HOPE 11/2

JOY CHOI has the best recent form. Malcolm Saunders mare defied odds of 33/1 to finish a good 2nd/13 on her return, and she gets to race off the same mark today. Josephine Gordon is taking over on the 6-year-old, and she’s the one to beat!

However, at bigger odds I want us to change SYMBOL OF HOPE. Despite being a modest handicapper, the 6-year-old gelding won 6 of his 46 races. The son of DANDY MAN will have benefitted from his recent run, and dropping back to the minimum distance will suit him better again. The soft ground won’t be a problem, and racing at his beloved Bath is another incentive!
