SIRIUS vs MALMO FF - BETTING PREVIEW

SIRIUS vs MALMO FF – BETTING PREVIEW

SWEDEN ALLSVENSKAN

In the last round, Malmo failed to create anything of note against Djurgarden. In fact, the two teams cancel each other out, and the scoreline (0-0) was a fair reflection of what happened on the field.

Previously, the Blue Ones created a tonne of chances against Mjallby, but they still lost that away match 1-0. In fact, MFF managed to have a whopping 76% possession that day. Incidentally, the stats show 19 goal attempts, of which 10 shots were on target!

While Henrik Bergstrom’s team scored 41 goals in 20 games, their xG is around 57. From what we have been watching, the visitors are far too reliant on 12-time scorer Isaac Kiese Thelin. On that note, the 31-year-old has gone off the boil!

For the record, MFF has been struggling with injuries. The club’s other striker Daniel Tristan Gudjohnsen is injured, and he’s not expected back anytime soon. Moreover, Anders Christiansen (captain), Ellison Makolli, Otto Rosengren, Madame Siby, and Anton Tinnerholm continue to be sidelined.

Earlier on in the season, Malmo won the reverse match 3-0. However, when the teams last met in this stadium, Sirius (2-1) came out on top!

After finishing 11th of 16 last season, Christer Mattiasson was appointed the new manager of Sirius. Under the 52-year-old’s guidance, tonight’s hosts are just one place (13th) above the relegation zone. Suffice to say, with ten normal season matches remaining, the hosts need to start pointing!

The Uppsala club won just one of their last five league matches, but on further reflection, they have been performing well. As a matter of fact, recent defeats were by a single goal to reigning Champions Hacken and top of the League Elfsborg. Sandwiched in between was a 3-0 win over the useful Kalmar!

FREE PREMIUM PICK

If we go back to the 3-0 defeat against today’s opponent, part of that result can be put down to the visitors having a player sent off. Furthermore, a penalty was rewarded at the same time, and the result was unbalanced!

With home advantage and some strong performances, we are taking the hosts against a faltering Malmo.
