ST TRUIDEN vs MECHELEN – BETTING PREVIEW

BELGIUM JUPILER

Mechelen won their last three games, and one of them was away in Westerlo. However, De Kakkers are not known for being particularly good on the road, and the team they beat is going through a bit of a crisis.

If we go back to the last campaign, Mechelen finished 13th of the 18 teams. In fact, they managed 40 points (11-7-16) from those 34 games. For the record, 27 of those points were taken at home, meaning only 13 came from away matches. And, they were the 15th best traveler with -16 goals.

While Steven Defour was allowed to increase his squad size by 3 players, the club only released another €900K. Nevertheless, the visitors are in good form, and a recent 4-0 thrashing of Royale Union suggests the balance is good.

Meanwhile, St Truiden took 8 points from their first six games. After winning the first two against Kortrijk and St Liege, the Kanaries haven’t been able to win in 4 subsequent matches.

However, prior to the break, Thorsten Fink’s men pulled off a good draw in Charleroi. Another draw in Gent (2-2) defied the odds, and the loss to Anderlecht was a bit unfortunate!

For the most part, St Truiden is performing to expectations. The young (average age 22.9) 30-man squad is starting to look well-balanced, and team news is positive.

Playing on the artificial surface of the Stayen is a big advantage for the hosts, and these odds are excellent!

BET: ST TRUIDEN +/-0 (draw no bet)

Odds: 1.91
