TWO PREMIUM FOOTBALL PICKS 4U
CERCLEE BRUGGE vs GENK – BELGIUM JUPILER
Genk won the season opener against RWDM by a decisive 0-4. However, they failed to follow up in last week’s match against Eupen, and they are involved in European qualification.
In fact, the Smurfs have been busy playing 5 games over the past 16 days, and that’s about to increase to 7 games by the time they play Olympiacos on Thursday night!
For the record, Genk was knocked out of the Champions League by the 10 men of Servette, and now they trail Olympiacos Piraeus (1-0). With the reverse match approaching, we believe today’s visitor could have one eye on that big match!
Following the introduction of Miron Muslic as the head coach, Cerclee Brugge has been much improved. In fact, the Greens ended last season a close 8th in the Jupiler, and that number goes to 4 after the new coach took control!
Cerclee were a bit unfortunate to lose the season opener in Antwerp, but since then they bounced back to beat Charleroi.
Despite having the youngest squad in the division, the Greens have started to prove themselves!

BRONDBY vs LYNGBY – DENMARK SUPERLIGA
Back in 2020/21, Brondby won the League title. In two successive seasons, they ended the main campaign 3rd and 6th.
While Jesper Sorensen has a 31-man squad, the fact is Brondby lost their last two league matches against Nordsjaelland and Odense. Incidentally, in both those matches, they allowed a lead to turn into defeat.
On paper, the hosts would be a more valuable club than Lyngby, but unlike the visitors, they are not progressing. Also, from the two meetings last season, it was Lyngby who managed to get four points!
While Freyr Alexandersson doesn’t have much financial support from the owners of Lyngby, he’s getting the most out of his players.
The visitors started the campaign with a loss to FCK (1-2), but since then they bounced back to draw in Viborg before beating Midtjylland 4-1.
To cut a long story short, we like what we are seeing from Lyngby and they can disrupt an overrated opponent today.
