 4:10 HASKOY 9/2

This is an interesting Listed race! Several of these three-year-olds have the scope to improve, but I have no hesitation recommending the once-raced HASKOY.

Ralph Beckett’s filly was a mighty impressive winner of her debut race. In fact, the GOLDEN HORN daughter beat 86-rated JAHOORI by an easy 7 lengths.

On that occasion, she missed the break and ran green before showing a good turn of foot to come clear. While she’s switching to the turf today, that shouldn’t be an issue. Furthermore, Ryan Moore is taking over in the saddle, and she can only get better.

At the time of writing, 101 rated GOLDEN LIRA as the bookmaker’s favourite. The daughter of LOPE DE VEGA won two of her three races, and she finished 2/6 in a Listed.

Since the Haggas/Marquand combination is flying, she’s the one I would fancy to finish 2nd.

As with many of the Gosden runners, MIMIKYU improved from race to race. Nevertheless, she’s yet to prove herself at this level, and her latest win was a handicap off a mark of 86. To make a long story short, she won at Newmarket by 6L, it’s just that this is a much better race.

I would be even more surprised if VOODOO QUEEN or SUPAGIRL are good enough to place.

If I was offered free tricast bet, I would take Beckett’s other runner STAR FORTRESS for 3rd. While she’s a bit more exposed than her stable companion, her 97 rating suggests she should be up to the listed class.

In summary, I expect HASKOY to win, with GOLDEN LIRA and STAR FORTRESS to fill in the 2nd and 3rd places.
